Art Panels & Workshop Coordinator


The art panels & workshop coordinator is responsible for assisting the art director and art assistant in creating, compiling and planing art panels and workshops within the art department. These include but are not limited to:

  • Establishing and maintaining art panels and art workshops relating to art (traditional/digital)
  • Demonstrating exceptional time management, forward-thinking and risk assessment skills
  • Implementation of promotional strategies with the art department
  • Demonstrating excellent, yet professional ‘customer service’ when dealing with the external personnel
  • Establishing and maintaining an open and positive relationship with all levels of staff in the SMASH! hierarchy
  • Ability to work with other departments of SMASH! at staff and management level


  • Talk to the Art Head Coordinator, Panels & Workshop Coordinator, Programming Director and E&S department (Artist Alley Coordinator) about negotiation deals and planning for the artists
  • Create and maintain set of rules and guidelines for the artists planning to do art panels and workshops.
  • Demonstrate exceptional time management, and risk assessment skills to ensure the deadlines are met and create contingency plans
  • Brainstorm, create and implement promotional strategies with the art department, and cooperate with the marketing department
  • Answer/send emails to/from external personnel and SMASH! Staff in a professional friendly manner
  • Establish a positive relationship within the art department and all level of staff in communication and teamwork
  • Attend to set meetings and report to the Art Director/Art Assistant with update on any developments happening
  • Logistics: The ability to know what equipment is needed for on the day and off the day work (ie, overhead camera, HMDI, specific cords for screen mirroring)
  • Training volunteers and negotiate about their break times



  • Knowledge and passion towards all forms of arts and crafts
  • Willing to learn new things outside their boundaries
  • Customer service experience, as well as sufficient communication skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Friendly, outgoing person who can cooperate and communicate with any SMASH! staff members
  • Ability to judge: not be biased and be open minded with the range of artworks being submitted


  • Experience with any art practice (traditional or/& digital)
  • Knowledge with any programs from Microsoft Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
