Entry Experience Assistant

SMASH! Ticketing is looking for an Entry Experience Assistant who will work hand in hand with the Entry Experience Coordinator and the rest of the Ticketing team. The candidate is expected to assist the Entry Experience Coordinator, reporting to the Ticketing Director, to develop, implement and manage a logical and efficient entry plan for the convention, as well as assisting in general ticketing tasks. As a Entry Experience Coordinator, you are the first point of contact for SMASH! at the convention and will specialise in customer service and the online pre-sales experience. You will be responsible for organising the logistical aspects of ticketing as well as queue management. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, has strong well rounded professional and interpersonal communication skills and is able to demonstrate great visual and spatial sense with good problem solving skills in a high pressure environment.

This includes; but is not limited to: • Developing the SMASH! Entry Experience both online and offline including being the first point of contact for email enquiries and issues

• Developing efficient queue management strategies inside and outside convention grounds

• Attention to detail with ticketing information being correct and accurate

• Liaising with other departments

• Assisting in field enquiries regarding tickets

• Assisting in the management, training and coordination of our Pop Up Sales Booths throughout the year

• Collaborating with Marketing and Logistics to ensure up-to-date details on the FAQ, PSM and API details and ensure that ticketing enquiries are communicated and promoted to wider public

• Ensure that all necessary staff are kept up to date with convention details and system updates

• Managing the customer service sub-department to ensure a friendly and efficient delivery of service

• Management and coordination of Ticketing Booths throughout the year

• Training volunteers – including developing manuals and resources

To be considered for the role, you must

• Proficiency in written English and a clear and friendly writing style are essential.

• Require availability for both days of the convention and set up day

• Reside in Sydney, Australia

• Easily contactable via Email & Mobile phone

• Commitment and Expectations:

  • All Ticketing positions will require a strong commitment and online presence

  • Before the convention, the Ticketing team will be contactable by email throughout the online sales period, answer attendee enquiries on a rostered basis, proactively prioritise, initiate and attend to projects and day-to-day tasks.

Desirable

• Previous volunteer or customer service experience is desired, but not essential

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with strong initiative and motivation

• Strong time management and planning skills and ability to work under pressure

• Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed
